Nature Camp 2017

Overview

Nature Camp at Tauxemont Preschool offers one-week camp sessions during the months of June and July, where your child can enjoy a traditional camp experience with nature hikes, camp songs, opening and closing ceremonies and more... all within Tauxemont Cooperative Preschools’ beautiful wooded setting!

Nature Camp at Tauxemont consists of 5 one-week morning camp sessions for children ages 3 1/2 years old (by June) through completion of 1st grade (rising 2nd graders) and 2 one-week afternoon camp sessions for children 41/2 years old through completion of 2nd grade (rising 3rd graders).  Camp is directed by staff members Barbara Bradley, Lisa Finn and Dawn Matthews.  This camp is intended for children who are independent and can easily separate from parents or guardians.

MORNING CAMP
Morning Camp is held Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 11:45 am. All camp themes include elements of art, literature, music and animals. This year will feature Backyard Alive, Under the Sea, Big D’s Petting Zoo, Kaydee puppets, and Kofi Dennis.  Nutritious snacks are provided daily.

AFTERNOON CAMP
Afternoon Camp is held during sessions 3 and 4, Monday through Friday from 12:45 pm to 3:30 pm. Afternoon camp will include expanded elements of our traditional morning camp, allowing us to further learn about and explore the week's theme. This camp is intended for children who no longer require an afternoon nap.
